The day nursery is open on weekdays from 8am to 6pm for most of the year. In June 2023, Ofsted rated the provision as Outstanding, finding that children are incredibly happy and settled. The inspector highlighted the outdoor learning space and forest school, where children grow vegetables and learn to assess and manage risks. The report noted a well-sequenced curriculum and a consistently high standard of teaching which fosters independence in play and self-care. Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities was described as excellent. Ofsted found that funding is used effectively and that small daily intervention groups are organised to help children build key skills, such as listening and attention. Our ethos Barbies Footsteps aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. They believe in a play-based curriculum to encourage learning, social development, and self-expression.
