Having served the community for over 30 years, the nursery relocated to a new facility in the former Bracebridge Heath Police Station in 2021. They received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted in 2015 and a 'Good' rating in July 2023 following the re-registration of their new premises. The nursery offers spacious rooms for different age groups, including a dedicated preschool room for over 3s and a nursery room for 1-3 year olds, both equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities. They also feature a quiet room for reading, an ICT area for educational games, and a separate sleep/sensory room. The outdoor facilities are a highlight, with a newly refurbished outdoor classroom and a fully-enclosed outdoor space that includes areas for different age groups, climbing equipment, ride-on toys, a sandpit, a fantastic fort, a vegetable garden, and a sensory garden with a water feature. The nursery's philosophy emphasises a child-led curriculum based on children's interests and environments, and actively involves parents as partners in their child's education. They also integrate the local community into their learning experiences. Children attending afternoon sessions bring packed lunches. The dedicated team of eight staff members are all qualified in childcare, possess paediatric first aid and safeguarding training, and continually engage in professional development.
