"reviewBody": "We had a viewing at Bright Kidz nursery in Leyton (by ASDA) viewing today. Personally I thought it was awful and so did my partner. We would be concerned for our baby’s safety and well being if we chose this nursery.\n\nI believe that the Nursery has had one Ofsted report on 08 November 2033 (Good) and a concerns:Action taken on 16 September 2024 (concerns regarding: Safety and suitability of premises,\nenvironment and equipment)\n\nJust some feedback for anyone considering the nursery or even those who may have bubbas already there:\n\nFirstly our IDs weren’t checked on entry and our sign in on the book not checked/ name verified. We just said we had a viewing and were allowed straight in without providing a name.\n\nMost concerning was that we noted one of the members of staff who had just changed a child in the baby change room hugging and kissing the baby/toddler on the cheek infront of us. To us this is completely unacceptable.\n\nThe staff seemed miserable, didn’t say hi to us when we were going around into the different rooms etc. All of the children seemed extremely upset and crying and ignored by staff.\n\nThe vast majority of staff seemed very young and were described as students which we aren’t against but if it’s the majority of the workforce we do question the experience of the nursery as a whole. When asked if the students would be changing nappies it was not denied which we didn’t feel comfortable about.\n\nThe manager stated that the staff would never be left on their own with children and then led us outside to the garden where there was one staff member with roughly 10 toddlers.\n\nThe floor of baby room was absolutely filthy with hair, food and fluff.\n\nIn the corridor there were scissors left out at height level for babies, nursery manager swiftly took them thinking we didn’t see.\n\nThe manager who showed us around kept making inappropriate comments. She said words to the effect of ‘Your baby is beautiful, blonde hair blue eyes. I wanted that when I was younger but it’s not possible because I married an Indian man’\n\nWhen our baby was upset she said words to the effect of ‘what are you worried about you don’t have a boss, a mortgage or a mother in law’\n\nWhen we mentioned our concerns regarding the scissors and the kissing at the end of the viewing both were strangely defended, dismissed and not taken seriously. The manager seemed to think that’s it’s okay and researched to show affection to kids through kissing them.\n\nFYI:\n\nKey Reasons to Avoid Kissing\nInfection Risk:\n\n- Kissing, especially on the face or lips, can transmit dangerous illnesses, including cold sores (HSV-1) and respiratory viruses.\n\nSafety Standards: The Lullaby Trust campaigns for \"THanks\" (Think Hands And No KisseS), advising against it to protect infants.\n\n- Professional Boundaries: Staff should avoid kissing as it can be seen as an unprofessional, personal action rather than a necessary, nurturing one.\n\n- Consent: Children have the right to not be kissed for the benefit of an adult, particularly if they are uncomfortable.",

I can’t recommend Bright Kids Day Nursery enough. The service is truly top-notch. The girls who work there are incredibly kind, caring, and full of humour, which creates such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. I am so happy and confident leaving my child in their care. My child feels safe, loved, and comfortable every single day. The staff build close, genuine relationships with the children, and it really shows the children feel secure and supported, almost as if they are with second mums. I truly appreciate all the hard work the team puts in. They go above and beyond to make our kids feel safe, loved, and happy. Thank you for everything you do! ❤️

Our child is happy in the nursery. We recommended the setting to our family friends and yesterday I took a registration form from the office. A big thank you to all the staff for looking after our precious little child. Highly recommend this nursery to other local parents.

We had a viewing at Bright Kidz nursery in Leyton (by ASDA) viewing today. Personally I thought it was awful and so did my partner. We would be concerned for our baby’s safety and well being if we chose this nursery. I believe that the Nursery has had one Ofsted report on 08 November 2033 (Good) and a concerns:Action taken on 16 September 2024 (concerns regarding: Safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment) Just some feedback for anyone considering the nursery or even those who may have bubbas already there: Firstly our IDs weren’t checked on entry and our sign in on the book not checked/ name verified. We just said we had a viewing and were allowed straight in without providing a name. Most concerning was that we noted one of the members of staff who had just changed a child in the baby change room hugging and kissing the baby/toddler on the cheek infront of us. To us this is completely unacceptable. The staff seemed miserable, didn’t say hi to us when we were going around into the different rooms etc. All of the children seemed extremely upset and crying and ignored by staff. The vast majority of staff seemed very young and were described as students which we aren’t against but if it’s the majority of the workforce we do question the experience of the nursery as a whole. When asked if the students would be changing nappies it was not denied which we didn’t feel comfortable about. The manager stated that the staff would never be left on their own with children and then led us outside to the garden where there was one staff member with roughly 10 toddlers. The floor of baby room was absolutely filthy with hair, food and fluff. In the corridor there were scissors left out at height level for babies, nursery manager swiftly took them thinking we didn’t see. The manager who showed us around kept making inappropriate comments. She said words to the effect of ‘Your baby is beautiful, blonde hair blue eyes. I wanted that when I was younger but it’s not possible because I married an Indian man’ When our baby was upset she said words to the effect of ‘what are you worried about you don’t have a boss, a mortgage or a mother in law’ When we mentioned our concerns regarding the scissors and the kissing at the end of the viewing both were strangely defended, dismissed and not taken seriously. The manager seemed to think that’s it’s okay and researched to show affection to kids through kissing them. FYI: Key Reasons to Avoid Kissing Infection Risk: - Kissing, especially on the face or lips, can transmit dangerous illnesses, including cold sores (HSV-1) and respiratory viruses. Safety Standards: The Lullaby Trust campaigns for "THanks" (Think Hands And No KisseS), advising against it to protect infants. - Professional Boundaries: Staff should avoid kissing as it can be seen as an unprofessional, personal action rather than a necessary, nurturing one. - Consent: Children have the right to not be kissed for the benefit of an adult, particularly if they are uncomfortable.
