The day nursery is open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the year. Ofsted inspected the setting in March 2024 and gave it an overall rating of 'Good'. The report noted that children are happy and settled and that staff build good relationships with families. Communication with parents is strong, with parents reporting that they feel welcomed and receive positive help with matters such as toilet training. According to the Ofsted report, staff are enthusiastic and plan enjoyable activities to support children's development. They were found to support positive behaviour exceptionally well, using various tools to help children discuss their feelings. The nursery works with other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Children use a 'snuffle station' before going outdoors, and there are plans to develop the garden area further. To improve, the inspector recommended reviewing the organisation of large-group times for younger children to maximise their engagement. We're very impressed with the friendliness, care and knowledge of all the staff there. Different learning activities are planned for each day ensuring that children are kept engaged and are developed at the right pace. Children are also taken for outdoor activities every day as long as it is safe to do so and parents are kept up-to-date with what their child has been up to via a Famly app. Three meals and a couple of snacks are provided each day and the food is healthy, nutritious and freshly cooked on site. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice to send our children to Brightsparks and would wholeheartedly recommend them. We have always found it a fantastic nursery, with great facilities and very caring loving staff. My son now does monkeynastics as well as playball that come in externally that he loves. The management team are very helpful and have always advised me with any issues I have had in bringing up my babies, like sleep issues or feeding issues or any health issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery for your children.
