With a capacity for 20 children, the setting currently has 20 children on roll and is supported by six staff members, three of whom hold childcare qualifications at levels 3 to 6. The day nursery has an overall effectiveness rating of "Requires improvement". Children are described as content and benefit from warm greetings and support to settle, fostering emotional security. Staff actively support children in managing their behaviour and understanding routines through songs and rhymes. While children enjoy nutritious meals and snacks and develop independence in serving their own meals, and staff ensure good hygiene practices, the curriculum and teaching are acknowledged as needing more focus.
