Open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the preschool operates all year round. The setting provides a friendly and stimulating environment where children develop a strong sense of security and belonging. Adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the preschool places a strong emphasis on individual learning and development, with key persons overseeing each child's progress and liaising with parents. They have particularly secure arrangements for supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring rapid progress and effective care coordination. Staff are also adept at communicating with all children, including those with additional language needs, using methods such as small-group sessions and lanyards with picture cards, and are undertaking Makaton sign language training. These children make rapid progress in their learning and development. Funding is used appropriately to purchase specific resources and provide targeted training to enable staff to support children with SEND or who face disadvantages. The care of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is coordinated and effective. Leaders and staff work closely with parents, providing advice and support when needed. The teaching for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is fully consistent and is planned and coordinated well. Outdoor space Children have the opportunity to make choices about where they want to spend time, including playing outdoors. They learn about the natural world, for instance, as they plant flowers.
