I understand it’s a business and they need kids to run the place. But many other viruses and diseases have similar symptoms such as mouth, hand and foot diseases has runny nose symptoms are a like to prevent other kids getting the virus the nursery should put strict rules so that parents do not bring in their child when they know a apparent it’s not a common cold and not put other peoples kids at risk of getting infected.\n\nWhen my child is at home his fine his eating well. But the day I take him back to nursery by the end of the week he comes home unwell with a new germ.\nThis has nothing to do with building immunity this is all due to lack of hygiene. He ignored her cries, walked away (approximately 6 feet) from her leaving her still covered and unattended to. Once I saw that he had no intention of returning to remove the blanket and console my daughter I started banging on the door, he looked shocked to see me and quickly walked over to my daughter to remove the blanket, he tried explaining his actions away as playing ‘peek a boo’ - from what I could see, at no point could this be mistaken for a ‘fun game of peek a boo’.\n\nAside from my daughter being distressed and traumatised which is bad enough, another concern is the manner in which the nursery handled my complaint. Despite my child being exposed to serious harm which could have led to very unfortunate outcomes including fatality and the practitioner failing to fulfil his duty of care. They concluded that it was bad practice and would put him on training! I contacted the local authority LADO and the police. It was decided by these professionals that the nursery would carry out the investigation. Sadly, this investigation was bias and allowed the nursery to cover up their wrongdoings.\n\nI should note that in 2022, I witnessed the same key worker cause injury to another child. I raised this as a concern but ultimately it appears to have been brushed under the carpet too.\n\nThey have allowed this worker to return to the nursery! Thus putting the safety of other children at risk.
