Established in 2022, this nursery operates from Monday to Friday, all year round, with sessions running from 7:30 am to 6 pm, catering to children from 0 to 10 years old. The nursery employs seven dedicated childcare staff members, five of whom hold appropriate early years qualifications at Level 3 or above. The curriculum is thoughtfully planned and effectively implemented by the hands-on manager, who works closely with staff and children to evaluate each child's development and set individual learning targets. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are exceptionally well supported; staff are adept at understanding and meeting individual needs, and they assist parents in securing support from other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to ensure optimal progress. The nursery excels in developing children's language and communication skills through effective modelling and engaging activities like stories and rhymes, and supports mathematical understanding by incorporating numbers into daily play and sorting activities. Close partnerships with the on-site school facilitate smooth transitions for children moving into school nursery. Children have good access to the outdoor area, with pre-schoolers spending much of their time developing movement skills in the garden, and staff encouraging exploration of the natural world. Parents consistently praise the effective communication and the enriching experiences their children receive, noting their children's development of new skills in an environment where they can play and thrive.
