We accept that sometimes things get misplaced, but virtually every week? It felt like a lot!\n- only around 50% of handovers were with a staff member who had spent time with our child or knew what happened with her day;\n- we were told that \"everything is on Blossom\" (the app used by the nursery) but it rarely had more than a single nappy change and a generic statement about the room - nothing about food or sleep. It was also usually sent to parents 24-48 hours after the session was over, if it was sent at all, and detailed updates on development/progress were weeks to months delayed;\n- the intercom system at drop-off/pick-up was broken more often than it worked;\n- only half the rooms seemed to have reliable access to the internet, to be able to update the Blossom app;\n- when our child was injured, staff rang an old number we'd asked to have removed years prior, instead of either of us, because the system was so outdated;\n- basic information about our child's needs wasn't recorded in a place that could be accessed by new staff in her room, or so we were told by the staff.\n\nTo give credit where it's due, the room leaders were excellent and often found workarounds to problems.
