The latest Ofsted inspection, on 26/10/2023, recognised the pre-school as 'Good'. Children are observed to be happy and settled, eagerly engaging with activities and forming strong bonds with staff, who provide a cosy and homely atmosphere, particularly for babies. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, with staff modelling language and encouraging children to express themselves. Independence and physical skills are also key focuses within the curriculum. The pre-school excels in its provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The manager, who also serves as the special educational needs coordinator, is proactive in identifying concerns and providing individualised support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. This ensures children make good progress across all areas of learning. The nursery also values outdoor learning, with children regularly accessing the outdoor area to support their health and well-being. Partnership with parents is strong, with regular communication ensuring staff are aware of children's interests and learning preferences at home, which then informs planning for their experiences in the setting.
