Staff use high-quality interactions and teaching techniques, including rich back-and-forth conversations and modelling new words, to inspire and engage children, fostering strong communication skills and vocabulary development. ". Staff make effective use of assessment to monitor children's learning, particularly focusing on communication and social skills. For children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), staff take prompt action if difficulties or delays are noticed, liaising sensitively with parents, agreeing on plans and strategies, and referring to outside professionals for specialist support when necessary, to ensure all children achieve their best possible outcomes. The pre-school fosters a strong sense of belonging, and children benefit from a curriculum that incorporates their interests, such as learning about recycling after showing an interest in refuse collectors.
