Located on a renovated 18th-century mill barn, the nursery emphasises outdoor learning and a child-led approach to education. The dedicated staff foster a secure and joyful environment, believing that a child's happiness and sense of safety are paramount to their development. Children are encouraged to explore, question, and engage with the natural world, with Forest School principles forming the core of their ethos. This involves hands-on outdoor experiences, utilising all senses, and incorporating nature's resources to facilitate learning. Beyond structured activities, children have ample opportunities for free play in diverse areas, including a sandpit, mud kitchen, willow-fenced paddock, wild meadow, and even interactions with farm animals like alpacas and ponies. The nursery also plans to expand its educational offering with a school on site in the future, extending their outdoor ethos to Reception, Year 1, and Year 2.
