The day nursery operates from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, for 50 weeks of the year. It accepts government funding for eligible three- and four-year-olds. At its inspection in January 2022, Ofsted rated the day nursery 'Good', with the inspector noting that children of all ages arrive eagerly and feel safe and secure. Outdoor learning is a key focus of the provision. Children take part in visits to the local community, including the beach and castles, and also play in the nursery garden. Physical skills are also developed indoors, where an inspector observed two-year-old children climbing an indoor ramp using a rope. Ofsted found that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well with strategies such as 'now and next' boards. Parents told the inspector they felt fully involved in their children's learning, commenting on the nursery's lending library and regular feedback.
