It caters to children from birth up to 11 years old. The nursery aims to provide high-quality, flexible, and affordable childcare within a safe and happy environment, preparing children for primary school. Heaton Nursery is part of a group of five privately owned childcare provisions. They operate Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, for 51 weeks a year, closing for approximately one week over Christmas and on bank holidays. The nursery implements the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on active learning, personal initiative, and problem-solving, with an emphasis on children's strengths to boost confidence. They also offer flexible services for parents with varying shift patterns, including breakfast and after-school clubs, and a wrap-around service for school nurseries. The facility ensures safety and security with monitored access, identity and DBS checks for staff, and ongoing training in safeguarding and first aid.
