I really appreciated the fact that we were allowed to stay with her at the nursery for the entire period of the settling in sessions but at some point the staff was encouring me to let her by herself after only just 2 settling in sessions. I felt they were putting pressure on me to do so even though it was clear that she didn't got used to the environment and the key worker so soon. This was her first nursery so it's understandable to take her more time. I knew something was not right at that point that they wanted me that bad to stay away from the nursery and leave her by helself, but we continued to take her there for a month. On a Thursday evening, the owner posted a message on the nursery app that they had to close the room for children below 16months with effect from the Monday due to staff shortages and not being able to have the minimum required ratio. I was extremely shocked and disappointed about this. The owner agreed to waive the fees for that month for us and explained that they were due to hire more staff which let them down at short notice too.\nA week later, I uncovered the truth in an inspection report from Ofsted. There were complains made throughout March that required minimum ratio was not met so Ofsted did an inspection and gave them a few days notice to correct the issue.
