In September 2023, Hopscotch Corner expanded its operations by taking over Hilltops Pre School in Ripponden. The "Hopscotch Explorers" programme, for children aged 2 and above, further champions outdoor learning, providing children with explorer backpacks for activities such as den building, hill walking, and library visits to deepen their understanding of the world. Key Workers collaborate with parents to monitor developmental milestones, ensuring an engaging and exciting learning journey for every child. After outdoor adventures, explorers join the school-aged children at the out-of-school club. Our ethos Hopscotch Corner's philosophy centres on providing rich "everyday experiences" through outdoor exploration, practical life activities (like cooking and shopping), and Forest School sessions. They aim to deliver individualised childcare that complements home life, allowing children to learn at their own pace and preparing them for school, notably through their "Hopscotch Explorers" programme which champions outdoor learning.
