Children arrive happy and confidently separate from their parents, eager to explore the toys and resources. " The supervisors work closely with parents to support children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), including making referrals to other agencies for speech development. Outdoors, children are encouraged to be physically active, making up games of 'tag' and riding tricycles, fostering risk management. Staff actively promote positive behaviour and help children understand expectations, for example, by reminding them about 'good looking' during story time and using reward charts for toileting efforts. The pre-school uses additional funding to address learning gaps, such as introducing a toy zoo to enhance children's understanding of the world. Staff also gather information about children's home-life experiences to enrich their learning opportunities, including musical activities.
