Established in partnership with St Michael's School for over two decades, the nursery ensures children become familiar with the school environment, its routines, and reception class teachers, facilitating a smooth transition to 'big school'. The daily schedule runs from 9 am to 3 pm and is designed to provide an enriched curriculum led by graduates, focusing on school readiness alongside diverse learning opportunities. Beyond the core Pre-School hours, a 'Badgers' wrap-around care programme is available from 7:30 am to 6 pm, offering activities led by qualified staff, some of whom also work in the Pre-School. During school holidays, children can attend the 'Badgers' Holiday Club, held on-site, providing entertaining itineraries developed by experienced and qualified staff. The curriculum encompasses a range of multi-sensory experiences, including French lessons, music and movement sessions, and physical education led by specialists. There's a strong emphasis on outdoor play, supported by a qualified Forest School practitioner who leads engaging sessions in the on-site Forest School. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, supporting developmental milestones while gradually preparing children for formal schooling. They also prioritise a strong partnership with parents, maintaining regular communication and events to share in a child's progress.
