They went from being shy and reserved to confident and thriving, all within a really little period of time.\nCharlii & the team are just wonderful. They really care about each child & go above and beyond to adhere to their emotional needs.\nMy boys needed support around their speech and language and the team were so supportive with this, along with the incredibly experienced SENDco.\nMy boys still talk about Hursley Childcare Hub to this day and we are so grateful for everything the staff did for them. Would definitely recommend this Nursery to any parent!",

My daughter joined about a month ago, and she has already come on leaps and bounds in both her physical and mental development. I want to give a special mention to her key person, Iris. Even though Iris is new to the setting herself, she clearly knows her stuff inside out. It puts my mind at ease knowing my daughter is in the best hands with her. 5 stars!",

They keep us regularly updated via the app, with photographs, observations and meal time updates, as well as comprehensive in person during hand overs. Our child goes in happily every morning to the caring and friendly staff with no hesitation. I am very pleased with how my child has developed since she first started. She seems to have made lots of new friends, and has started saying many new words since starting too. Thank you!",

"reviewBody": "We had a challenging experience at this nursery with our son, following a delayed recognition of additional emotional and sensory needs at Ampfield. We were encouraged to move back to Hursley.\n\nAlthough a Behaviour Plan was developed collaboratively with us, the nursery developed and implemented a Risk Assessment without our consultation. This resulted in repeated exclusions being used as a behavioural response, even in moments where our child was working within his agreed support strategies or had already de-escalated. Even though the leadership assured us the risk assessment was reviewed by professionals / external providers after concerns we repeatedly raised concerns, it was entirely rewritten following a review by Hampshire Children’s Services. One of there concerns was the nurseries 24-hour exclusion rule was be sending mixed messages to our child when he should or shouldn’t attend, and took the decision away from the parents.\n\nCommunication with the leadership became increasingly rigid, and we were informed that no further adjustments would be considered unless directed by external agencies. This left us feeling sidelined from the collaborative process and conflicted with what we understand to be the principles of inclusion set out in the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act.\n\nWhile we want to acknowledge the genuine compassion shown by some staff initally, we did not feel the setting had the training or capacity to respond to our child’s emotional distress in a developmentally appropriate or inclusive way. In the end, we made the painful decision to leave, as we no longer felt confident that the environment could provide the emotional safety and relational consistency our son needed. This was also supported by Portage for our son’s emotional wellbeing.\n\nWe hope sharing this experience encourages greater reflection, emotional sensitivity, and inclusion for other children and families in the future.",

I love how the children can go for little trips to the local shop, post box, park and other local amenities. My daughter is very happy and has come such a long way with her development and confidence since starting in January. The staff are incredible, and will always go above and beyond to ensure that your children are the happiest they can be! The activities offered are always well thought out and encourage children to explore with their whole bodies (so be prepared to dress for mess). Thank you for taking such good care of by little girl ❤️",

My twins absolutely thrived at Hursley Childcare Hub! They went from being shy and reserved to confident and thriving, all within a really little period of time. Charlii & the team are just wonderful. They really care about each child & go above and beyond to adhere to their emotional needs. My boys needed support around their speech and language and the team were so supportive with this, along with the incredibly experienced SENDco. My boys still talk about Hursley Childcare Hub to this day and we are so grateful for everything the staff did for them. Would definitely recommend this Nursery to any parent!

I cannot recommend Hursley Childcare Hub enough. 5 stars!

Hursley Childcare Hub are great. Thank you!

We had a challenging experience at this nursery with our son, following a delayed recognition of additional emotional and sensory needs at Ampfield. We were encouraged to move back to Hursley. Although a Behaviour Plan was developed collaboratively with us, the nursery developed and implemented a Risk Assessment without our consultation. One of there concerns was the nurseries 24-hour exclusion rule was be sending mixed messages to our child when he should or shouldn’t attend, and took the decision away from the parents. Communication with the leadership became increasingly rigid, and we were informed that no further adjustments would be considered unless directed by external agencies. This left us feeling sidelined from the collaborative process and conflicted with what we understand to be the principles of inclusion set out in the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act. While we want to acknowledge the genuine compassion shown by some staff initally, we did not feel the setting had the training or capacity to respond to our child’s emotional distress in a developmentally appropriate or inclusive way. In the end, we made the painful decision to leave, as we no longer felt confident that the environment could provide the emotional safety and relational consistency our son needed. This was also supported by Portage for our son’s emotional wellbeing. We hope sharing this experience encourages greater reflection, emotional sensitivity, and inclusion for other children and families in the future.

My daughter attends Hurley Childcare Hub and I honestly couldn't be happier with my choice of nursery. Thank you for taking such good care of by little girl ❤️
