"reviewBody": "We have been attending regularly to the Heanor Wellness Centre for approximately 1 year with our daughter.\n\nThey provide various activities from outside agencies throughout the week, however what they do best is support baby to toddler learning & development. There is one main room, with various role play sections & in the centre of the room are tables & chairs for parents & guardians to have permanent eyes in their children. Also in the main room is a sensory room behind some curtains, which great to provide children with SEN a calm relaxing place.\n\nMost recently we have used the back room for our daughters second birthday, as well as the venue providing light snacks for the children we had KCM Inflatables who gave us bouncy castle & ball pit & we also had Yasmins Bakery, bring along cakes with each child being able decorate four cakes each.\n\nWithout a doubt this will definitely be a key venue within Erewash that we will continue to visit over the coming years.",

"reviewBody": "The Community Café at Infinite Wellbeing, Heanor, is a heart-warming gem in the town centre — a place where the food, the people and the ambience all feel deeply rooted in community spirit. From the moment you step in, you sense that this isn’t just a café but also a meeting place: warm lighting, chatter, and a layout that invites you to linger rather than rush.\n\nAtmosphere & Service\n\nThe staff are consistently friendly and approachable — you feel seen whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor. That welcoming tone sets the mood. The space is always clean and cheerful, with natural light and modest decor that emphasizes comfort over spectacle. It’s precisely the kind of place where people come not just to eat, but to connect, catch up, or simply sit in company.\n\nFood & Drink\n\nThe menu is well-thoughtout, offering a good range of drinks and light meals. You’ll find herbal teas, classic coffees, cappuccinos, as well as other favourites.\n\nFor food, there’s variety: toasties, fresh pizzas, salads, cakes. The café also caters to families: child-friendly meals, platters, and even a “Teddy Bears Picnic” option for little ones. Vegan and plant-based options are available and clearly marked: salads with plant “meat,” vegan pizzas, and so forth.\n\nOn the dessert front, cakes are plentiful and home baked on site.\n\nQuality is sound and strikes a balance between wholesome, freshly prepared and affordable. Portions are good and ingredients are fresh.\n\nOpening Hours & Convenience\nThe café runs Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm.\n\nIt’s part of the broader Infinite Wellbeing community centre, so there’s always activity and a sense that you’re walking into a hub, not just a standalone place to eat. On event-days (e.g. “Happy Café” evenings) the kitchen stays open beyond standard hours to serve attendees.\n\nA genuinely inclusive, friendly environment — you don’t feel like “just a customer.”\n\nFinal Thoughts\n\nOverall, the Community Café at Infinite Wellbeing is more than just a café — it’s a space that fosters connection, allows for pause, and reflects the values of its parent centre. The food is honest, reasonably priced, and there are good options for dietary needs. If you’re in Heanor and in search of a place to relax, chat, or simply enjoy a cup and light meal in warm surroundings, this café is a dependable and uplifting choice. I’d recommend it—especially if you appreciate cafés with community at their heart.",

"reviewBody": "Edited: visited July 25.\nLights and music are off and sensory wise it's lovely and calm. As a neurodivergent adult I appreciate it. Cake was dryer this time but still worth money.\n\nThis place is a treasure of the community. The work they do for SEN community is great. I would award 5 stars but there are a few niggles.\nThe music is right above the toddler area and can become overwhelming when at volume if you have a very young one. Also in the sensory area there is very hard tiling behind the voile. This isnt noticeable due to the darkness. This is a H&S issue given the age and user of the space. My toddler hit their head on the tiles. It needs a sign put at the front so people are aware, i believe this is just an oversight. The premises is lovely, lots to do , very well priced, the food is extremely good and well priced . Kudos to the chef - great job. Would get food over cake in future. This place is definitely worth a visit for a few hours and is a great asset to the community for all it does. ADD a Sign Infinite:)",

The coffee itself was not brilliant but the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows really hit the spot. ## About this day nursery

Infinite Wellbeing Kids Club, operating since 2024 in Heanor, DE75 7NR, is a childcare setting for children aged 4-11 years, inspected by Ofsted on April 22, 2026. The club provides a welcoming atmosphere where children develop a strong sense of belonging, engaging in conversations with staff about their day.

Leaders and staff organise flexible settling-in sessions to ensure children feel confident and reduce potential barriers to their wellbeing. They also implement specific adaptations to support children during transitions, such as allowing ample processing time before going home, ensuring a smooth and supportive environment.

The setting follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, offering a variety of sessions including full day care and after-school childcare, with operating hours from 07:30 to 09:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, and 08:00 to 18:00 during holiday clubs. Leaders prioritise getting to know each child from the outset, gathering information on their likes, dislikes, allergies, and intolerances to tailor resources and adapt menus, supporting their emotional wellbeing and individual needs.

The club also proactively uses funding to ensure disadvantaged children can access their services, providing a range of activities and meals during school holidays.

What it's like

## Ofsted rating for Infinite Wellbeing Kids Club

Last inspected 22 April 2026

What it's like to attend

Children and families are welcomed into the club by the warm and friendly staff team. Children feel a real sense of belonging, where they enjoy engaging in back-and-forth conversations with staff about their day. Children also attend flexible settling-in sessions organised by leaders and staff to support them to feel confident and reduce barriers to their wellbeing. Leaders also put in place specific adaptations to support children during times of transition, such as giving children enough time to process when they are about to go home.

Inspector highlights

- Children independently access the provision, where they follow embedded routines.
- Staff model how to achieve an outcome, supporting children to have a go at readily available resources.
- Leaders promote attendance by sharing procedures with parents and swiftly follow up any unexplained non-attendance.
- Staff promote good hygiene practices, and children develop their understanding of self-care.
- Leaders prioritise getting to know children from the very start to support their emotional wellbeing.
- Children form positive bonds with staff, who comfort and reassure children when upset.

Areas to develop

- 1 Leaders should support staff to consistently reinforce behavioural expectations, particularly for younger children.
- 2 Leaders should consistently share and obtain information from other professionals, such as schools, to put in place support when necessary.

We have been attending regularly to the Heanor Wellness Centre for approximately 1 year with our daughter. They provide various activities from outside agencies throughout the week, however what they do best is support baby to toddler learning & development. There is one main room, with various role play sections & in the centre of the room are tables & chairs for parents & guardians to have permanent eyes in their children. Also in the main room is a sensory room behind some curtains, which great to provide children with SEN a calm relaxing place. Most recently we have used the back room for our daughters second birthday, as well as the venue providing light snacks for the children we had KCM Inflatables who gave us bouncy castle & ball pit & we also had Yasmins Bakery, bring along cakes with each child being able decorate four cakes each. Without a doubt this will definitely be a key venue within Erewash that we will continue to visit over the coming years.

The Community Café at Infinite Wellbeing, Heanor, is a heart-warming gem in the town centre — a place where the food, the people and the ambience all feel deeply rooted in community spirit. From the moment you step in, you sense that this isn’t just a café but also a meeting place: warm lighting, chatter, and a layout that invites you to linger rather than rush. Atmosphere & Service The staff are consistently friendly and approachable — you feel seen whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor. That welcoming tone sets the mood. The space is always clean and cheerful, with natural light and modest decor that emphasizes comfort over spectacle. It’s precisely the kind of place where people come not just to eat, but to connect, catch up, or simply sit in company. Food & Drink The menu is well-thoughtout, offering a good range of drinks and light meals. You’ll find herbal teas, classic coffees, cappuccinos, as well as other favourites. For food, there’s variety: toasties, fresh pizzas, salads, cakes. The café also caters to families: child-friendly meals, platters, and even a “Teddy Bears Picnic” option for little ones. Vegan and plant-based options are available and clearly marked: salads with plant “meat,” vegan pizzas, and so forth. On the dessert front, cakes are plentiful and home baked on site. Quality is sound and strikes a balance between wholesome, freshly prepared and affordable. Portions are good and ingredients are fresh. Opening Hours & Convenience The café runs Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. It’s part of the broader Infinite Wellbeing community centre, so there’s always activity and a sense that you’re walking into a hub, not just a standalone place to eat. On event-days (e.g. “Happy Café” evenings) the kitchen stays open beyond standard hours to serve attendees. A genuinely inclusive, friendly environment — you don’t feel like “just a customer.” Final Thoughts Overall, the Community Café at Infinite Wellbeing is more than just a café — it’s a space that fosters connection, allows for pause, and reflects the values of its parent centre. The food is honest, reasonably priced, and there are good options for dietary needs. If you’re in Heanor and in search of a place to relax, chat, or simply enjoy a cup and light meal in warm surroundings, this café is a dependable and uplifting choice. I’d recommend it—especially if you appreciate cafés with community at their heart.

If you live nearby and have children you need to visit this cafe. Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of (delicious) homemade cake in peace whilst your litte ones explore the role play area. My children (4) and (8) love to come and play with the ever changing range of activities and role play set ups. The staff are brilliant and so welcoming. Highly recommend!

Edited: visited July 25. Lights and music are off and sensory wise it's lovely and calm. As a neurodivergent adult I appreciate it. Cake was dryer this time but still worth money. This place is a treasure of the community. The work they do for SEN community is great. I would award 5 stars but there are a few niggles. The music is right above the toddler area and can become overwhelming when at volume if you have a very young one. ADD a Sign Infinite:)

Fantastic community cafe and space, brilliant menu, great value, delicious food and very helpful staff. Highly recommend the salad bowl and cake. The coffee itself was not brilliant but the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows really hit the spot. It also serves bluebells ice-cream. The front part has cafe seating and cake counter where you order and then through the double doors is a large family area with space for children to play. Lots for babies and small children to do with a long list of events that seems to change each month.
