The curriculum places a strong emphasis on emotional development, recognising it as a solid grounding for successful learning. The day nursery has successfully embedded rules, even for risky outdoor activities like campfires, ensuring children prioritise safety while remaining engaged. The dedicated leaders and staff are committed to providing the best start in life for all children, regardless of their backgrounds. The nursery has specialist sports coaching staff who plan engaging exercise activities, such as using a dinosaur story to encourage movement. Before indoor learning, some children start their day outdoors with a sensory circuit to regulate emotions, which positively impacts concentration. Babies develop close bonds with staff, which continue as they grow and move through the nursery. Staff prepare children for school by building self-help skills like dressing and toilet use, and children visit local schools for phonics lessons to aid transition.
