While the setting aims to provide an ambitious curriculum based on the EYFS framework, the latest inspection highlighted significant inconsistencies in care and teaching practices that prevent all children from thriving. Support for children who speak English as an additional language is a strength, ensuring these children are well-supported in their learning journey. However, the report noted that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) do not consistently receive tailored teaching due to varying staff confidence and an unchallenging curriculum, despite thoughtful use of additional funding for resources like a therapeutic chair. Outdoor play is incorporated daily; however, it is not always purposeful, and staff sometimes miss opportunities to engage children. Our ethos I am particularly passionate about outdoor learning, and our setting has recently completed the Udeskole approach. We are now continuing this journey by working towards the Inspire accreditation. At Kids Planet, we go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and early years education. We provide secure, nurturing environments where children feel valued, respected, and free to explore. Our focus is always to create the best environment for your child to thrive.
