Staff at Kids Planet Hixon ensure children settle easily, offering warm greetings and age-appropriate tasks such as filling water bottles. Children are encouraged to be independent, self-serving meals and washing hands, with staff offering guidance when needed. They confidently navigate daily routines and show kindness towards peers. The curriculum focuses on providing new experiences and life skills, with children becoming "expert photographers" and participating in activities such as science sessions and "wonder walks" in the local community to learn about nature. Staff incorporate a variety of stories and books, even re-enacting stories like "The Tiger Who Came to Tea" to enhance literacy skills and foster a love for reading.
