Established in 2008, it continues to be led by its original manager. The nursery maintains a team of 15 staff members, all of whom are qualified in paediatric first aid, alongside a full-time cook who prepares nutritious, homemade meals for the children. Little Buttons welcomes children from 3 months old and is open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with closures only on bank holidays. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, emphasising a continuous provision approach where the environment is designed to encourage independent exploration and investigation. Children have access to various learning areas, including those for mark-making, mathematics, creative arts, quiet reflection, and discovery, fostering imagination and free movement both indoors and in the outdoor provision. The nursery is dedicated to promoting communication skills, incorporating activities and a music and movement teacher to enrich language development. With a focus on nurturing confident and independent learners, Little Buttons aims for children to leave eager to embrace new experiences, solve problems, think creatively, and adopt a "have-a-go" attitude. Our ethos Little Buttons Day Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, utilising a continuous provision approach. The nursery aims to foster confident and independent learners by creating an environment that encourages independent exploration, investigation, imagination, and free movement.
