Staff are adept at developing strong communication skills in children through rich narration and exposure to new vocabulary. For instance, older children explore a three-dimensional anatomy model, while younger ones are encouraged to describe their play. The curriculum is designed to support individual interests and learning needs, with staff working closely with parents and other professionals. The knowledgeable Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) provides strong support to the staff team, ensuring that the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are met through thorough assessments and individualised plans. Outdoor learning is a priority, with additional funding successfully used to create an enticing outdoor environment, especially for those with limited opportunities elsewhere.
