Open all year round from 8am until 6pm, closing only for one week between Christmas and New Year, it caters for children aged 1 to 4 years. The nursery was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted following its inspection on 7th November 2022. Children are welcomed into a family-friendly atmosphere by supportive and caring staff who know them and their families well, ensuring a smooth transition into the setting. The leaders and managers, since the COVID-19 pandemic, have focused on supporting the emotional well-being of all children, helping them express their feelings and building their sense of self-worth. Staff thoughtfully plan and present a variety of activities and experiences, tailoring them to individual children's knowledge, abilities, and interests, helping children to concentrate and become deeply engrossed in their play. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on developing communication and language skills, with staff using descriptive language and repetition to expand children's vocabulary and encouraging engagement with books. Effective assessment helps staff to understand each child's progress and provide targeted support for their next steps in learning.
