The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 24th April 2023. Staff foster good relationships with children, who seek them out for comfort and to share books. Children are encouraged to be independent, for example, by finding their own coats or carrying plates to the table at mealtimes, helping them feel safe and secure within their routines and boundaries. The curriculum, developed by a manager with a strong understanding of how children learn, offers sequenced opportunities for development in areas like puzzle-solving and early mathematics, such as counting and comparing sizes. Children also engage in various mark-making activities, including writing lists and attempting to write their names, which prepares them well for school. The nursery promotes a wide vocabulary through songs, stories with props, and discussions that encourage descriptive language.
