Outdoor space Children particularly enjoy opportunities for physical activities outdoors, such as counting as they hop, jump, bounce, and catch a ball. Staff encourage children to take appropriate risks and challenges, for example, by supporting them to climb steps and go down a slide. Children also use their imagination well as they pretend to cook with water, soil, and leaves in the outdoor mud area.
