With a dedicated team, many of whom have long-standing ties to the playgroup, a strong sense of community and family permeates the setting. The curriculum is built upon the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience tailored to each child's unique developmental needs. Emphasising learning through play, the preschool focuses on cultivating social and personal skills, encouraging active exploration, and fostering creative thinking. Continuous observation and assessment by key workers ensure individual progress is monitored, and any potential challenges are addressed early, guaranteeing full access to the Early Years Foundation Stage for every child. Our ethos Marldon Pre-School Playgroup is built upon the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and emphasises learning through play. They focus on cultivating social and personal skills, encouraging active exploration, and fostering creative thinking in a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to each child's unique developmental needs. What it's like Children develop strong attachments with staff, settling quickly as staff greet them and help them feel safe. Staff use their knowledge of each child's development to target teaching to individual interests and needs, focusing on building confidence, sociability, and communication skills through stories and songs. Children are confident in choosing their activities and enjoy crafts and physical play, which helps develop their fine motor skills. Additional charges include a daily consumables fee and a one-off registration fee.
