Not only did I have someone say to me during his second settle session that “you’re not allowed in, we only hand over at the door” which made me cry leaving him & thinking this was normal for a nursery, but my son never enjoyed it. I wish I hadn’t been torn in to their agreement. I had generic hand overs, he was forced to have a routine that every other child did in baby room & I was completely shut out & not included in his care and development. Compared to the nursery he is in now it is worlds apart, completely open, inclusive and supportive of every child’s needs that brings you in the journey too. Even their paperwork was outdated and painful to go through.
