The Mitcheldean branch opened its doors in January 2020 and offers beautifully designed spaces for babies, toddlers, and preschool children. The day nursery boasts a vast outdoor area featuring a wild garden for den building, digging, and climbing, as well as an outdoor classroom, mud kitchen, and bike areas. Indoors, the environment is bright and airy with ample natural light, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Unique amenities include a dedicated cooking room for budding chefs and a sensory sleep room for rest and relaxation. The day nursery operates 50 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and accepts children from 3 months old. What it's like All children receive a warm welcome from the caring, attentive staff. They receive sensitive support to help them to settle. Children are happy and develop strong bonds with their key persons and other staff. Staff know children's individual needs, family backgrounds, interests and abilities. They plan and implement a curriculum that provides many rich and varied learning experiences that promote children's learning effectively.
