Rated as 'Good' by Ofsted following its latest inspection on 15th September 2022, the nursery prides itself on children making a smooth start to their learning experiences and forming strong bonds with staff. The dedicated team works closely with parents to understand each child's interests, needs, and routines, using this information to plan for individual progress. The curriculum, recently reviewed and embedded by the new management team, is described as exciting and challenging. Staff place a high importance on developing communication skills through modelling new vocabulary and engaging discussions, and they strongly promote a love of books, utilising both indoor and outdoor reading areas. Mathematical development is also well-supported through activities that encourage pattern recognition and sequencing. Furthermore, Milestones Childcare excels in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), identifying learning gaps early and collaborating with professionals like speech therapists. Additional funding is used thoughtfully to provide enriching visits and trips, as well as to develop sensory play resources. Children are encouraged to be active and exert themselves on climbing frames and slides, promoting a healthy lifestyle alongside learning about healthy eating and hygiene.
