Children run in the gate, keen to join friends, and eagerly explore their surroundings. - Staff reviewed and amended their ambitious curriculum during the COVID-19 pandemic to incorporate more time for children to be outdoors, which successfully helps all children to learn and remember more. - Children achieve well and develop new skills quickly, with babies giggling and smiling, and toddlers hunting for a bear while acting out a familiar story. - Staff weave numbers and counting into activities and routines, teaching children the meaning of 'half' while cutting up raspberries for a snack, which is reflected in children's very good abilities in mathematics. - Staff support children's language skills well, using simple, clear words with babies and richer language with older children to help them to extend their vocabulary. - Children develop good self-care skills, understanding the importance of good hygiene routines and washing hands to get rid of germs. - The nursery is a welcoming space where every child is valued, and staff plan carefully for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. - Staff model good manners and respect, and children learn to take turns, share, and develop friendships. - Children's emotional well-being and sense of security is a priority, with staff helping children understand their feelings in the 'feelings corner' using stories and puppets. - Leaders are committed to ongoing reviews of their provision, contributing to their excellent capacity for continuous improvement.
