This day nursery received a "Good" overall rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on August 20, 2025. Following concerns raised on December 15, 2025, regarding staff-to-child ratios, Ofsted conducted a regulatory visit on January 23, 2026. This visit identified that the day nursery was not meeting some requirements, leading to the issuance of a welfare requirements notice. By February 26, 2026, Monmar Nursery Ltd had successfully addressed these concerns, strengthening staff safeguarding knowledge and procedures, implementing an effective system for supervision, training, and support, and ensuring staffing arrangements consistently meet ratio requirements. The key-person system was also updated to cater to individual children's needs. Ofsted is satisfied that the safeguarding and welfare actions have been met, and the provider remains registered. He loves his key worker and all the staff. He is always enthusiastic in the mornings to attend. The nursery has a nice secure garden space, takes day trips particularly during the school holidays, and the babies room is is bright and spacious. The staff use the famly app to communicate with parents which is helpful. It's not a 5 star nursery but it has improved so much and it's still improving. Although the setting (outside and inside), doesn't look impressive, it's reasonably a good place with some very friendly and professional staff. I have never had any issues with the staff and my girl always looks happy and well looked after. She will really miss it when she leaves in July. I'm very impressed by the staff who always listen to my requests. My sons key worker always gives me feedback on how his day has been and I like looking at the online journal photos. I would recommend this nursery as it is affordable and the staff are always going above and beyond to cater for my son. The outside may not be so ecstatic but am not really bothered about that cos my child will not be etched to the outside wall. I love the warm and friendly atmosphere.the staff are welcoming and they respect my opinions. The rooms are clean which is my main concern. My child looks happy and occupied with toys, trying to explore them. Most times I have to beg her for us to go home and believe me she won't do that if the staff had been treating her badly. I am happy with my childs rapid academic development and her listening skills. Though they have few flaws which basically will be inherent in every other nursery, Monmar is still the best.
