Established in 2013 by Sam, drawing on her extensive Early Years experience, it operates as a family-run business deeply rooted in the Forest School philosophy. The nursery caters to children from 6 months to 5 years old, providing a natural environment where they can freely explore, take calculated risks, and develop self-confidence and self-esteem without even realising they are learning. The curriculum emphasises hands-on exploration, encouraging children to build dens, climb trees, learn tool skills, and participate in campfire cooking, fostering their natural curiosity about the environment. Beyond the nursery, My Little Explorers also offers a Nature Kindergarten for 2-5 year olds (term-time only) at Farley Mount with 20 acres of woodland, activity camps for primary-aged children (4-12 years) during holidays, and 'Mini Explorers' stay-and-play sessions for families. The emphasis across all programmes is on holistic development within a nurturing outdoor space where children are encouraged to be themselves, supported by passionate Early Years and Forest School practitioners.
