The Ofsted "Good" rating, as of May 2022, reflects the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Children are encouraged to make choices about their play, both indoors and outdoors, and staff effectively promote independence and safe risk-taking, for instance, with a tyre swing and climbing apparatus. The preschool is highly inclusive, with a significant number of children having special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language (EAL). Staff, many with advanced SEND training, work collaboratively with external professionals to ensure all children make good progress, with particular efforts to break down language barriers for EAL learners. The curriculum is designed to support and challenge all children, with strong assessment practices to monitor progress and close any developmental gaps. Daily music-and-movement sessions and positive discussions about healthy food choices support children in understanding how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
