At the time, the nursery acknowledged this and confirmed his place would be held without requiring a new deposit upon return.\n\nWhen he did return after that short time off, we were not asked to pay a new deposit — which seemed consistent with the agreement. However, after eventually leaving the nursery, we were told that the original deposit would not be refunded, now being classified as a full withdrawal. We raised this with the team, but no resolution was reached.\n\nThere was a change in management during this period, and while we can’t say for certain, it may have contributed to confusion or inconsistency in how the situation was handled. Regardless, the lack of clarity and flexibility — especially in a situation involving a child’s medical condition — felt disappointing and not reflective of the support we initially experienced.\n\nAfter spending thousands over our time at the nursery, it’s a shame that a £100 deposit — tied to a medically advised, temporary withdrawal — couldn’t be returned.
