The day nursery is open all year and accepts government funding for eligible two, three and four-year-olds. For children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, staff monitor progress closely, make prompt referrals to outside professionals, and use additional funding to support children's needs. Ofsted inspected the nursery in April 2023 and gave it an overall rating of 'Good'. The report noted that children thrive in a happy and friendly atmosphere, settling quickly and becoming immersed in play. Staff have high expectations, and children behave well. Children are creative and enjoy using their imagination, for instance when pretending to cook in the outdoor mud kitchen. The inspector recommended that the curriculum be sequenced more precisely and that staff use their knowledge of individual targets to plan learning experiences.
