The day nursery operates Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:30, all year round, ensuring consistent care for families. The dedicated team at Railway Children Nursery Jump fosters a warm and welcoming environment where children eagerly engage in activities, developing strong relationships with both staff and peers. The day nursery places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, utilising stories and rhymes to build understanding and model new vocabulary. Areas to develop - 1 Leaders do not consistently monitor the progress of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) effectively, leading to delays in reviewing children's needs and staff not having accurate information to implement targeted support. - 2 The ambitious curriculum is not consistently implemented in practice, with some areas not as well supported, particularly in the outdoor area, and inconsistencies in assessing children's needs affecting teaching. - 3 The qualifications of staff do not currently meet the minimum requirements, impacting the quality of teaching and requiring staff to work towards relevant qualifications. - 4 Not all staff in the baby room have completed specific baby-related training, which is a breach of requirements. - 5 The implementation of the curriculum has not been consistently monitored, leading to some areas of learning not being supported effectively. - 6 Due to a high number of unqualified and inexperienced staff, training is not yet fully impacting the quality of teaching across the whole nursery.
