Registered in 2007, the playgroup provides funded early education for two-, three-, and four-year-old children from Monday to Friday during term time, with sessions running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The dedicated team of 10 childcare staff, including one with a Level 6 qualification, two with Level 5, and five with Level 3, are committed to fostering a love for learning. Children benefit from mindfulness sessions to help them regulate their feelings and emotions, and they are encouraged to develop their literacy skills through engaging reading areas and storytelling. Creative expression is a cornerstone of the playgroup's approach, with children freely exploring craft activities and imaginative role-play scenarios, such as running a lollipop stall. The outdoor space is well-utilised, providing ample opportunities for children to develop physical skills and connect with nature, even digging for worms. The playgroup prioritises strong partnerships with parents and offers excellent support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, working closely with other agencies to implement tailored learning plans.
