It encourages children to run, walk, or wheel outdoors for 15 minutes, at least three times a week, during class time. This activity is designed to be free, fun, and non-competitive, benefiting children's physical and mental health, as well as their learning. The programme aims to be inclusive, removing barriers to participation for all children, including those with disabilities or special educational needs and those in disadvantaged areas. The Daily Mile Foundation works to ensure the programme is flexible, accessible, and child-centred, prioritising safety and well-being. It is supported by the Ineos Group. Our ethos At The Daily Mile, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to move, belong and thrive. We are committed to removing barriers to participation and supporting inclusive practice for disabled children and children with additional support needs or special educational needs and disabilities (ASN/SEND), as well as children growing up in areas of deprivation or facing wider inequalities.
