It has since evolved into a thriving pre-school, catering to children aged two to five years. The pre-school operates during term time from 9 am to 3 pm on weekdays, offering both morning and afternoon sessions, as well as full-day care. Sunshine Corner is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for its young learners, utilising a keyworker system where each child is assigned a dedicated staff member to support their development and ensure a smooth settling-in process. The pre-school also uses Tapestry, an online journal, to document each child's learning journey through pictures and written observations. The daily routine incorporates a variety of educational and recreational activities, including registration, themed learning, phonics sessions, supervised free play, healthy snacks, story time, nursery rhymes, and music and movement, all designed to promote holistic child development. As a registered charity, its operations are overseen by a voluntary committee. Our ethos Sunshine Corner Pre-School is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for its young learners, utilising a keyworker system to support their development and ensure a smooth settling-in process.
