The nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating Montessori environment for children aged 2 to 5 years, fostering confidence, lasting friendships, and resilience. The curriculum emphasises independence and focus, and children enjoy daily access to a large garden, regardless of the weather. The Beanstalk welcomes families from a broad catchment area, including Chiswick, Hammersmith, Shepherd's Bush, and Acton. The Principal, Anneli Isherwood, who took ownership in 2004, believes in sowing seeds of trust, kindness, confidence, independence, and a love for learning within each child. The philosophy centres on providing a warm and caring atmosphere where children develop essential life skills such as problem-solving, negotiation, empathy, and responsibility, preparing them for future academic and personal success. The nursery also caters to younger children aged 8 months to 2 years with a "Stay and Play" toddler group on Friday mornings during term time. Our ethos The Beanstalk Montessori Nursery School's philosophy centres on providing a warm, caring, and stimulating Montessori environment that fosters independence, confidence, kindness, and a love for learning.
