Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in its latest inspection on 5th July 2022, the day nursery caters to children aged 0-3 years. The environment is described as bright and spacious, where children arrive happy and eager to learn. Key persons at the day nursery are warm and welcoming, helping children to feel safe and secure, and to separate easily from their parents to join in a wide range of stimulating activities. Children at The Learning Cottage are inquisitive, confident, and independent learners, showing a keen interest in their play and making decisions about what they want to do. For example, younger children enjoy outdoor learning experiences, investigating what happens as they add oats to water when pouring along tubes in the garden. The manager and staff provide an ambitious curriculum for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). My daughter is very happy and settled, and it’s lovely to see how much they enjoy going in each day. They do lots of fun activities and great preschool work that really helps with learning and development. I couldn’t be happier with the care and support we receive — highly recommend! The teachers all see really nice and friendly so all the time my son is happy it makes us happy. Thank you to all the staff.
