Open all year round from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding two weeks at Christmas), the nursery offers a welcoming and nurturing environment. Inspectors noted that children enjoy coming to the nursery and receive a warm welcome from dedicated staff. The nursery provides a wealth of exciting resources and activities that encourage cooperative play and turn-taking. For instance, older children engage in outdoor learning activities, eagerly hunting for hidden plastic insects in the garden with magnifying glasses. The managers and staff are highly ambitious for all children to become active and confident learners, placing a strong emphasis on high-quality, inclusive care and education. Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is exceptional. Staff work closely with other professionals and parents to implement consistent strategies that help children settle and develop their full potential. The nursery also prioritises children's personal, social, and emotional skills, alongside language and communication development, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff are very knowledgeable about child development and continuously update their skills through professional development, ensuring all children make very good progress. Children also develop a love for books and engage in exciting experiences like exploring plant growth. Management fosters a positive ethos, supporting staff well-being, and partnership working with parents is excellent.
