"reviewBody": "I did have a good experience with this nursery with my first child. I recommended for many friends and colleagues. Unfortunately with my younger child I have experienced an unprofessional communication and a neglecting behaviour with parents.\nToday I turned up at the nursery five minutes before the collection time, there were many parents waiting for their child, A couple of them been told that please go to the gate and they can collect their child over there.\nEven so they Arrived after me I have been the last who collected My son.\nSo those this young person who comes and bring my son Telling the same stuff what she told the other parents what happened during the day with the kids? but without any personal note in a hurry and telling me to sign the sheet that I have to pay extra money because I was not Pressing the bell that I’m here to collect my son. absolutely nonsense.\nThe teacher name on the sheet was not even her name. Because my son weak immune system, he was away from nursery at least 20-25 days This year. I really find it ridiculous that they are charging for minor thing like this and they get paid his place all the time.\nI recommend not to choose this nursery and not because of this Gold digger behaviour but just think that my three year-old son can name his friends but not any of her teachers in the nursery unless one this is how they care about the kids or at least my kid.\nI regret any of the donation of toys, clothes and other stuff we did towards to the nursery because I think they make enough money to charge people for nonsense.",

"reviewBody": "My little boy went to the olive tree nursery and I thought it was a very good nursery and the staff who care for him were amazing, however the manger is very rude and unprofessional.\n\nMy little boy had his place cancelled as he was not entitled to a PCR test. My child had a cough/cold since he started nursery, he has been to the doctors, myself And my partner do weekly PCR tests due to our jobs, I had to keep my little boy off of nursery as I had a phone call from the doctors to why my little boy can’t clear his cold.\n\nThe nursery said for my little boy to come back he would have to have a negative PCR test. However, due to his cough not being a new cough, he was not entitled to the PCR test. I carried out a lateral flow test which was negative and I emailed the results to the manger.\n\nThe manger did not accept this and accused me of lying about my little boy not being entitled to a PCR test. She was very rude to my partner on the phone as we was asking what we could do so my little boy could go back to nursery. The manger repeatedly said ‘I’m not bending the rules, I’ve got to keep my staff safe.’ And was not letting myself or my partner talk. She then cancelled my little boys place.\n\nWhen questioning the reason behind her cancelling his place, she played the victim card and told me I was abusive and was threatening her. She told me she had been onto the phone to public health England but she did not inform them that I had told them about the cough on the 24th of June and that the cough is not a new cough.\n\nI was very upset with how I was spoken too, I have emails to prove that I was only asking what I had to do, other than a PCR test as he’s not entitled to one, to get my son back into nursery.\n\nI personally feel that the staff are very helpful and actually care for the children, however I cannot say the same for Helen the manger.",

What it's like to attend

Children arrive happily and ready to learn, displaying good behaviour and attitudes. They are encouraged to make decisions about their play and take on small responsibilities, which helps them gain high levels of self-esteem. The well-designed curriculum provides children with a broad range of experiences, and they benefit from positive interactions with staff to build their knowledge and develop good communication skills.

Inspector highlights

- Leaders and managers design a well-thought-out curriculum, which meets children's individual learning needs.
- Staff use regular observations and reflection weeks well to assess children's progress and identify learning gaps.
- Staff create engaging learning environments that encourage children's sensory explorations and investigations.
- Babies and toddlers form strong relationships with their key person, with a strong focus on meeting their emotional needs.
- Staff work closely with parents to gather essential information and they are well supported by a knowledgeable leadership and management team.

Areas to develop

- 1 develop further the organisation of small group time to ensure that younger toddlers remain engaged in their learning
- 2 consider noise levels and distractions to help older children listen and concentrate in quieter activities.

## How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and managers design a well-thought-out curriculum that meets the individual learning needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff quickly identify any gaps in children's learning and obtain support from the special educational needs coordinator (SENCo), who works closely with staff, parents, and other professionals.

Outdoor space

Staff constantly reflect on the space used by children and explore better ways of enticing them to learn, especially in the large outdoor area. A wigwam has been provided in the outdoor area to support toddlers' and older children's love of role play, encouraging their imaginations and further speech and language development. Older children dress themselves for physical education and outdoor play.

I did have a good experience with this nursery with my first child. I recommended for many friends and colleagues. Unfortunately with my younger child I have experienced an unprofessional communication and a neglecting behaviour with parents. Today I turned up at the nursery five minutes before the collection time, there were many parents waiting for their child, A couple of them been told that please go to the gate and they can collect their child over there. Even so they Arrived after me I have been the last who collected My son. So those this young person who comes and bring my son Telling the same stuff what she told the other parents what happened during the day with the kids? but without any personal note in a hurry and telling me to sign the sheet that I have to pay extra money because I was not Pressing the bell that I’m here to collect my son. absolutely nonsense. The teacher name on the sheet was not even her name. Because my son weak immune system, he was away from nursery at least 20-25 days This year. I really find it ridiculous that they are charging for minor thing like this and they get paid his place all the time. I recommend not to choose this nursery and not because of this Gold digger behaviour but just think that my three year-old son can name his friends but not any of her teachers in the nursery unless one this is how they care about the kids or at least my kid. I regret any of the donation of toys, clothes and other stuff we did towards to the nursery because I think they make enough money to charge people for nonsense.

Just AVOID. Tried for many times register our child at the beginning of this year but they were always asking for something else, always changing the start date and when we finally got there they asked for do another application and pay again as a couple of months has been passed since the first application. Avoid headache trying to go to this place.

My little boy went to the olive tree nursery and I thought it was a very good nursery and the staff who care for him were amazing, however the manger is very rude and unprofessional. My little boy had his place cancelled as he was not entitled to a PCR test. My child had a cough/cold since he started nursery, he has been to the doctors, myself And my partner do weekly PCR tests due to our jobs, I had to keep my little boy off of nursery as I had a phone call from the doctors to why my little boy can’t clear his cold. The nursery said for my little boy to come back he would have to have a negative PCR test. However, due to his cough not being a new cough, he was not entitled to the PCR test. I carried out a lateral flow test which was negative and I emailed the results to the manger. The manger did not accept this and accused me of lying about my little boy not being entitled to a PCR test. She was very rude to my partner on the phone as we was asking what we could do so my little boy could go back to nursery. The manger repeatedly said ‘I’m not bending the rules, I’ve got to keep my staff safe.’ And was not letting myself or my partner talk. She then cancelled my little boys place. When questioning the reason behind her cancelling his place, she played the victim card and told me I was abusive and was threatening her. She told me she had been onto the phone to public health England but she did not inform them that I had told them about the cough on the 24th of June and that the cough is not a new cough. I was very upset with how I was spoken too, I have emails to prove that I was only asking what I had to do, other than a PCR test as he’s not entitled to one, to get my son back into nursery. I personally feel that the staff are very helpful and actually care for the children, however I cannot say the same for Helen the manger.
