The nursery is part of Todmorden Primary School and is specifically designed to encourage exploration, curiosity, and the development of children's interests. It boasts two dedicated rooms: "Bunnies" for 2 to 3-year-olds and "Owls" for 3 to 4-year-olds, the latter led by an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher to ensure a smooth transition to Reception. The nursery benefits from a bright and well-furnished environment, situated within the woods behind the main school building. Flexible sessions are available in three-hour blocks during mornings or afternoons, with additional non-funded sessions also an option. Children can also access wraparound care for extended hours, and hot lunches are provided daily. The curriculum is flexible and responsive to children's individual needs, offering a wide array of activities, a secure outdoor play area, and diverse resources for creative play, role-playing, construction, and reading, all aimed at preparing them for school life. Parents are encouraged to visit and discuss their family's specific needs. Our ethos Todmorden Nursery is committed to fostering exploration, curiosity, and the development of children's interests within a warm and inviting atmosphere.
