I was also impressed that the local farmer brought lambs for the children to bottle feed and the manager brought in an incubator to hatch chicks over the spring time. A great learning experience and very memorable for the children too.\n\nYou can get very involved with the preschool by joining a parent-led Preschool Committee, or you can simply look after the preschool pet \"Shelly\" (a Giant Africa Snail) over the school holidays. Four-year-olds look carefully and gauge the distance when they throw balls into a hoop. Two-year-olds use their hands to scoop sand in to pretend ice-cream cones, passing them to visitors and telling them they are 'strawberry' flavoured.
