The nursery is led by a small team of highly qualified teachers dedicated to understanding and nurturing each child's early development. They foster learning through play with a flexible approach that allows children to engage with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework in a way that suits their individual needs. Emphasis is placed on outdoor play, with children having continuous access to the nursery garden and daily visits to a Forest School. The nursery also features resident chickens cared for by the children. Activities are dynamic and responsive to children's interests, encompassing cultural education and preparing them for school by integrating reading, writing, and counting into fun, informal contexts. Whatcombe Farm Nursery aims to develop confident, enthusiastic, and mindful learners who are well-prepared to achieve their full potential.
