The latest Ofsted inspection, on 28th June 2021, rated the nursery as Good overall, with Outstanding for leadership and management and personal development. Children attending Wickham Bishops Nursery learn about risk assessment, even helping to ensure the main gate is padlocked for safety. The curriculum encourages excellent imaginative skills, with children creating and sharing stories, and developing high levels of self-esteem through encouraging relationships with staff. The nursery provides excellent learning opportunities that make a real difference to all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and children have opportunities for outdoor learning. Staff are highly skilled at supporting children's development in areas such as shapes and numbers, and provide a nurturing environment where children can engage in sensory play and learn at their own pace. Parents consistently praise the staff team for their dedication and for going above and beyond to support children's understanding and well-being.
